Degustation -
a French
word (pron. de-gyu-sta-si-on) meaning a tasting or sampling of food
or drink is a menu typically consisting of a series of smaller
courses numbering anywhere from five to fifteen.
This allows the diner to experience the pleasure of that initial
burst of flavour when first tasting a dish, course after course –
satisfying the appetite but each time leaving them to say “I wish I
had just one more bite of that”! Here are some sample menu items...
